Road and Bridge Director Robert Bennett opened box culvert bids from Fuller Construction, Chadron, for $209,925.84 and Infinity Construction, Scottsbluff, for $179,936.00.  The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on February 1st, 2010. The Bid was awarded to Infinity Construction, Scottsbluff, for $179,936.00 as recommended by Road Department Director Robert Bennett.

The Sealed Bids were opened by Robert Bennett of the Roads Dept for a Motor Grader at the County Commissioner meeting on February 16th, 2010. Bids were from Murphy Tractor, Gering, for a John Deere 670G $207,000.00, without trade in, or $145,200.00, with 2 trade ins, and alternate bids of a used 770G $153,018.00, with 2 trade ins, and a 772 D $131,810.00, with 2 trade ins, and Nebraska Machinery, Gering, for a Caterpillar 140N $151,530.00, with 2 trade ins. The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on March 1, 2010. The Bid was awarded to Murphy Tractor, Gering, for a 670G for $145,000.00 as recommended by Assistant Public Works Director/Highway Superintendent Tami VillarBrown.

Roads Dept - Crushed Rock - July 6, 2010

The Sealed Bids were opened by Tami Villar-Brown of the Roads Dept for crushed rock at the County Commissioner meeting on July 6th, 2010. Bids were from Rock Express, Alliance - no bid; Western Materials, North Platte, crushed rock $136,900.00 and Paul Reed Construction, Gering, $11.14 per ton - crushed concrete $111,400.00 and alternate bid - crushed concrete $9.87 per ton $98,700.00. Consensus of the Board was to allow Villar-Brown to tabulate the bids and award later in the meeting. The Bid was awarded to Western Materials, North Platte, for 10,000 tons at $13.69 per ton $136,900.00.

Detention Center - Inmate Phone System - August 16, 2010

The Sealed Bids were opened by Information Systems Director Chance Florke for an Inmate Phone System at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center at the County Commissioner meeting on August 16th, 2010. Bids were from Encartle, Keystone, Nebraska; Conversant Technologies, Inc., Plano, Texas; Protocall, Olathe, Kansas; Legacy, Cypress, California and Securus Technologies, Dallas, Texas. The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on September 7th, 2010. The Bid was awarded to Legacy.

Roads Dept - Dump Truck - November 22, 2010

Public Works Director, Robert Bennett, opened dump truck bids from Floyd's Sales & Service, Scottsbluff, 4 bids ranging from $112,849.00 - $150,460.00 and Cornhusker International, North Platte, for $114,240.00. The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on December 6, 2010. The Bid was awarded to Cornhusker International, North Platte, as recommended by Public Works Director, Robert Bennett.
