Box culvert bids were received and opened by Robert Bennett, Public Works Director on January 10, 2012. Bids were received from: Simon Construction, Scottsbluff - $266,181.20; Paul Reed Construction, Gering - $277,043.09; Infinity Construction, Scottsbluff - $157,835.00. The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on January 17, 2012. The Bid was awarded to Infinity Construction, Scottsbluff, for $157,835.00 as recommended by Road Department Director Robert Bennett.

Tourism Dept - Tourism Office - March 19, 2012

Commissioner Meyer recommended the FARM as the location for the Scotts Bluff County tourism office. Consensus of the Board was to proceed with the new location for $500.00 a month.

Finance Dept - County 5 Year Audit - April 4, 2012

Management Accountant Jerry Crable opened a Scotts Bluff County audit contract bid from Dana Cole & Associates, Scottsbluff, for 2012 - $23750.00, 2013 - $24950.00, 2014 - $26000.00, 2015 - $26500.00 and 2016 - $27000.00. The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on April 16, 2012. The Bid was awarded to Dana Cole & Company, Scottsbluff as recommended by Management Accountant Jerry Crable.

Roads Dept - Sugar Factory Road Overlay - April 16, 2012

Road overlay bids were received from Western Engineering and Simon Contractors April 16, 2012, 10:00 A.M. Western Engineering: $164,008.75 plus bid bond; Simon Contractors: $126,044.50 plus bid bond. The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on April 16, 2012. The Bid was awarded to Simon Contractors, Gering, for $126,044.50 plus bid bond as recommended by Road Department Director Robert Bennett.

Roads Dept - Dump Truck - May 7, 2012

Truck bids were received and opened by Robert Bennett, Public Works Director. Bids were received from: Peterbilt, Council Bluffs, IA - $131,627; Floyd's Trucking, Scottsbluff, NE - $133,450 with alternate bids of $129,918 and $124,977; Cornhusker International, North Platte, NE - $124,430. The Bids were tabulated and presented at the County Commissioner meeting on May 7, 2012. The Truck Bid for a 2013 Freightliner 10T Dump Truck & Snow Plow to Floyd's Sales and Service, Scottsbluff, for $124,977.00 as recommended by Road Department Director Robert Bennett.

Communications Dept - Radio Communications Equipment - June 15, 2012

The Sealed Bids were opened by Ray Richards, Communications Director for Radio communications equipment. Bids were received from: First Wireless, Inc., Gering, NE - phone and radio equipment, $258,584.80; Century Link, Scottsbluff, NE - telephone equipment only, $139,319.18; C4i, Reston, VA - radio equipment only, $177,717.33; Aztec, Gilbert, SC - radio equipment only, $176,974.50. Ray Richards will tabulate the Bids for possible awarding at the regular business meeting of the Scotts Bluff County Board of Commissioners to be held on June 18, 2012. The Bid was awarded to First Wireless, Inc., Lincoln, Nebraska, for $258,584.80.

Clerk of the District Court - Indirect Cost Allocation Plan for FY2012-2014 - August 6, 2012

Clerk of the District Court reported two proposals were received for the Indirect Cost Allocation Plan for FY2012-2014 , Maximus - $5,600.00 per fiscal year and Sequioa - $5,880.00 per fiscal year. The Bid was awarded to Maximus.

Operations Dept - Courthouse DX Cooling - December 3, 2012

Director of Operations Carol Prince opened Courthouse DX Cooling system bids from Trane, Ft. Collins, Colorado - Option 1 - $134,705.00 and Option 2 - $138,500.00 and Johnson Control, Littleton, Colorado, Option 1 - $98,348.30 and Option 2 - $127,277.00. Carol Prince will tabulate the Bids for possible awarding at the regular business meeting of the Scotts Bluff County Board of Commissioners to be held on December 17, 2012. December 17, 2012 - Moved by Marker, seconded by Masterton to  award the DX Cooling System bid to Trane, for $138,500.00, as recommended by Prince.

Truck bids were received and opened by Robert Bennett, Public Works Director. One bid received from: Fremont Motors, Scottsbluff. Cash price with trade-in $25,804.00 for a 2008 F450 Ford 4x4 diesel truck. Robert Bennett will tabulate the Bids for possible awarding at the regular business meeting of the Scotts Bluff County Board of Commissioners to be held on December 17, 2012. December 17, 2012 - Moved by Straton, seconded by Marker to award the sign truck bid to Fremont Motors, Scotsbluff, for a 2008 Ford 450 for $25,804.00 as recommended by Public Works Director Robert Bennet.
